Points to keep in mind with Crochet Patterns
1. Almost 99.9% of crochet patterns and instructions are ranked according to difficulty level. Rank such as advanced, intermediate, easy or beginner. Always choose a pattern with a difficulty level that caters to your skills. We have seen people quit crochet because they gave up hope on it. The reason is that they chose a level too high for them. Always start slow and move your way up the difficulty ladder.
2. Crochet patterns and instructions are usually worked in rounds or rows. Every crochet pattern will imply if you are doing or working in rounds, rows or a mixture of both.
3. It is extremely important to count the number of stitches that you made so that you will be able to keep track of how many stitches are needed on each round or row as stated by the pattern.
4. You must always verify your gauge. To do so, crochet a sample of (4 X 4 inches) size in the pattern that is used your crochet instructions. Use a smaller hook when your gauge turned out to be large and use a larger hook when your gauge turned out to be smaller.
5. Apply for some crochet class so you can learn from each other in groups which is great way to learn.
